Bright Angle Nominated for Pocket PC Award

New York, NY, September, 2002 – Bright Angle has been nominated for a 2002 Pocket PC Award in the guides category for KnowPlacestm, their interactive guide to a variety of venues.

KnowPlaces™’s innovative maps that fit on the screen without scrolling and the ability to show the best route through a venue distinguish it from other interactive guides.  Visitors to a venue can follow pre-defined trails through a venue, such as the Director’s Trail through the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.   They can also create their own custom list of sights and get the best route to those points of interest. To make it fast and easy to find points of interest, visitors can search by category or floor.  Need to know where all of the ticket booths are at Disney World? Just click the Show All button and they are highlighted on the map.  Looking for the Hope Diamond at the Smithsonian? Then just type it into the search function to see where it is located.

Bright Angletm also produces interactive guides for a variety of corporate clients. Clients have created their own branded package for customers, used the software in-house to navigate large corporate campuses, and put it on their web site as well as handhelds for tradeshows.

KnowPlacestm is available for purchase at www.handango.com and www.pocketgear.com. A demo is available on the Bright Angle web site – www.brightangle.com
